We plan three key projects for the future: Maternity and Children’s Community Hospital, FGM Rescue Centre in East Pokot and the Street Children’s Day Centre and food program in Nairobi.
Maternity and Children’s Community Hospital
Over the course of many years we have been providing free medical camps in Amboseli and run a fully fledged FGM Rescue Centre. To complete our projects in Amboseli, we are now embarking on our biggest project implementation, a Maternity and Children’s Community Hospital that will serve an approximate catchment of 1000 families who are in desperate need of a permanend medical facility within their reach.
The clinic will cater for primary health care, minor surgeries, laboratory services, diagnostic services (ECG, Ultrasound, X-RAy), immunisations, pre- and post-natal maternity care, natural and C-section deliveries of babies, fistula repairs, family planning services and holistic osteopathic treatment. We aim to one day also be able to carry out reconstructive surgery on women who have undergone FGM.
